Lehigh Valley Hospital: When It Matters Most

Aspirin When Leaving

Heart Attack Care | Aspirin when leaving

Why is this important?

The heart receives oxygen through blood vessels. Sometimes clots can block those blood vessels, causing a heart attack. Aspirin works by preventing clots and lowering your risk of heart attack.

Percent of heart attack patients who were prescribed aspirin when leaving the hospital.
